My Visit to Peacock House

Guest Experience Team Member Joe, went out to visit one of our brand new Norwich properties last week. Here’s his take on our new family holiday let, Peacock House.

I finally got to make a trip to Peacock house last week and thought I’d share my experience with you all! Upon arriving at the property, I pulled into the large driveway which easily had adequate space for two cars. The first thing I noticed was the house is a very modern looking home, with an exceptionally neat front garden. It reminded me of the kind of house you see in American movies, everything in its perfect place, very much like a life size doll house.

Walking through the light blue painted door you enter the small entrance hallway. First thing you’ll notice is the huge room directly in front of you split between a large kitchen and spacious dining area. The modern kitchen is equipped with all the utensils and equipment you could need. The dining table has 6 seats and is of a good size for family meals and get-togethers. There’s even a small TV mounted on the wall which I imagine would be a blessing to keep young children entertained whilst Mum and Dad are cooking up a storm. This wonderful room takes up a large portion of the entire ground floor and has two glass patio doors leading out to the garden.

Upon walking into garden straight away I could imagine enjoying summer family meals out here, or just relaxing together on a Sunday afternoon.

Strolling back inside and towards the front door, there’s a few things I missed on my way in. There’s a storage cupboard in the kitchen which has plenty of space for coats or extra luggage, and also a drawer full of kid’s outdoor games! Back into the entrance hallway facing the front door there’s a WC on my left, and the stairs on my right leading to the upper levels.

The townhouse layout means, the living room is on the first floor of the property. There’s two large, and might I add exceptionally comfortable sofas, as well as an amazing large flat screen TV. With a few board games on offer as well, there’s minimal chance of finding yourself bored even on the wetter British days!

After quite some time 35 minutes to be exact, (I was working on this article I promise!), I managed to pull myself off of those ridiculously soft fluffy sofas and went to explore the rest of the house.

The single bedroom was also on the second floor, with my attention being drawn straight away to the room’s fantastic windows, which are the same as in the upstairs double room. These magnificent large windows go all the way from the floor, letting plenty of natural light in, bringing a warm, welcoming feeling to the rooms. On the same floor I found the family bathroom, offering a bath with a shower over.

On the second floor, walking along the hall from the double bedroom I reached the master bedroom, which has a great king-sized bed, as well as two spacious built-in wardrobes and an ensuite bathroom with a shower cubicle. Ticking all the boxes, this room would be ideal for parents who get the biggest bed in the house with their own private en-suite leaving the kids to fight over the middle floor bathroom!

Having walked around all of the house, you can certainly see why this would appeal to families. Good sized bedrooms, 3 W/C’s, plenty of entertainment features, not to mention the extremely spacious and modern dining/kitchen area. Only a short 20 minute drive out of Norwich city centre, and in a convenient location to go off exploring North Norfolk on day trips there’s little doubt about the level of popularity this will have amongst guests. It’s a perfect spot to relax, and I can easily picture myself coming back here with my family after a busy day shopping in Norwich!

Peacock house is truly the perfect family holiday let. Why don’t you see for yourself…
