Easter 2023: What’s Happening In Norfolk!
The eagerly awaited Easter Holidays are only a hop and a bounce around the corner, and here in Norfolk there are a whole host of egg-cellent occasions to keep the whole family entertained. Here are just some of the many events taking place across the county this Spring!
Easter Eggpress
Bure Valley Railway, Aylsham Saturday 1st April- Sunday 16th April 2023
The Easter ‘’Eggpress’’ is available throughout the whole of the Easter Holidays, with a free Easter Egg for each child upon completion of the Easter Stamp Trail at both Aylsham and Wroxham.
The Whistlestop Café will also be decorated, and Easter lunch boxes will be available to purchase, as well as an Easter Afternoon Tea.

Hoppy Easter Afternoon Tea
The Assembly House, Norwich Saturday 1st April- Sunday 16th April 2023
If you’re visiting Norwich, the Assembly House is THE ultimate venue to go for Afternoon Tea.
Complete with four tiers of Easter themed sweet and savoury treats, as well as a vegan and vegetarian and children’s afternoon tea available too, this egg-citing themed tea is catered to all!

Easter Family Night
The Ocean Room, Gorleston, Saturday 8th April 2023, 6pm-9pm
If you’ve booked an Easter getaway to the coast, a visit to the Ocean Room is an absolute must, with multiple shows available across the Easter holidays for younger and older members of the party.
The Easter Family night is sure to get you up and moving, complete with lots of dancing and games with the in house disco diva’s and fun food will be available at the bar.

Dippy’s Egg-cellant Easter
Roar Dinosaur Adventure Park, Lenwade, Saturday 1st April – Monday 17th April 2023
This Easter, the park will be flooded with colour and there are a number of Easter themed activities that children can take part in such as Little Bo Peep’s Sheep Hunt and the Rainbow Easter Egg Hunt!
The Splash Zone will also be available for those feeling courageous enough to brave the water adventure play, or if the rain does make an appearance, the Dynomite indoor play area will be open.
There is also a café offering scrumptious lunches, or outdoor food stalls to keep hungry tummies satisfied!
Easter Fair
Great Yarmouth Market Place, Thursday 13th April – Sunday 16th April 2023
Four days of fun, thrills and entertainment can be found at this year’s Easter fair, complete with fairground rides for all ages and stalls across the Market Place, Fullers Hill, Brewery Plain and Church Plain.
Just be careful not to gobble too many easter eggs before getting on the merry- go- round!
Spring Baa- nanza
Hirstys Family Fun Park, Hemsby, Saturday 1st April- Monday 17th April 2023
With an abundance of activities for the whole family to take part in, head on down to Hirsty’s for a day of Easter Egg hunts, crafts, cuddles with lambs and bunnies, tractor and trailer rides and plenty of play equipment for the kids to burn off some energy, there’s no better way to welcome in Spring!
There is even refreshments on hand at the café, from hot and cold beverages, tasty lunches and homemade goods, or you can visit the Farm Shop for some takeaway treats!
Easter Egg Hunt

Just one of the many naturally beautiful National Trust sites offering Easter Egg’s hunt this April, Oxburgh Estate will have children following a trail to hunt down nature inspired activities such as the ‘’welly throw’’ whilst giving adults the chance to explore the gorgeous Spring gardens.
The price includes an Easter trail sheet, a pencil, bunny ears and upon completion of the trail – a FREE chocolate egg (Vegan or Free From options available too!)

Spring Fling
Wroxham Barns, Hoveton, Saturday 1st April- Sunday 16th April 2023
Spring Fling is back for 2023, and the ticket price includes a whole range of fun and activities – you’d be hopping mad to miss it!
Upon entry to the Junior Farm, children can meet a whole host of friendly farm animals such as donkeys, pigs, alpaca’s, ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs and of course, pregnant sheep (who knows, you may even be lucky enough to witness a live birth!) whilst completing an Easter Egg hunt, which once completed, will be rewarded with a special prize.
There is also live shows and unlimited play at the Fun Park, where children can take part in water balloon fights, jump around on the bouncy pillows, play in the sand, or compete with grown-ups at 18- hole mini golf.
For the older members of the party, there are plenty of shops and local suppliers on site ranging from gifts, crafts, cider, cheese and other tasty treats to take away!

The Pesky Bunnies Easter Eggs-pedition!
Bewilderwood, Hoveton, Saturday 1st April – Monday 17th April 2023
For the story- lovers and tree- climbers amongst us, Bewilderwood is the place to be, and this Easter – the Pesky Bunnies are back and causing havoc around the park!
Children can disguise themselves as a pesky bunny at the face painting station and craft their own bunny ears at the craft tent– then set off an adventure to hunt down the troublesome bunnies, all whilst following the story and using clues hidden around the woods. Once all the bunnies have been found, children will be rewarded with a special badge.
Alongside the eggs-tra Easter fun, children can also take advantage of all the many treetop courses, slides and boat rides around the park as much as they would like. When you’re ready to replenish your energy, there are many food and drinks stalls dotted around the park, or you can bring a picnic and settle into one of the many picnic tables available.
