There is also a utility room which has a washing machine and a good-sized fridge / freezer, so ample storage, if you want to do a large shop before you arrive.

The large dining table has more than enough room for maximum occupancy, ideal for family breakfasts or evening meals.

Perfect for cosy evenings in, the lounge features a flat screen television, armchair, and a comfortable sofa.

Down the hall are the two bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, wardrobe, and chest of drawers, and has an ensuite shower room. The family bathroom has both a bath and a separate shower.

Less than 100 yards from your door, is The Nelson’s Head. A Lovely family-friendly pub with an open fire and beer garden, offering good food and local ales. For a great local café, Poppylands tearoom can be found in the opposite direction just over 10-minutes’ walk away.

A wonderful area for those interested in wildlife and nature, this area is renown for diverse wildlife and supports some of the largest populations of wild migratory water birds! We’d highly recommend visiting Horsey Mere, which is part of The Norfolk Broads. There are some lovely walks close-by, and we’d encourage guests to check out Ross's wildlife boat trip (Apr - Oct from Horsey Staithe! Don’t forget to pay a visit to Horsey windpump and mill whilst you're there for some great panoramic views! Horsey is an internationally important site for wildlife, its European crane population which became extinct from the UK over 400 years ago were first nurtured by the property's father in law (John Buxton - ‘Norfolk Crane Story’) and have now been successfully breeding for over 30 years

A highlight of this stunning area of Norfolk is the fabulous sandy beach Horsey Gap! A beautiful, wild sandy beach backed by one of the largest sand dunes on the East coast of Norfolk, this quiet sandy shoreline is ideal for morning walks, or for a family fun beach day. Quieter than many of the North Norfolk beaches (yet just as beautiful!) you'll have little trouble finding a spot to soak up the sun, with a paid car park directly behind the sand dunes.

As the weather turns colder, across the winter months, the beach becomes the home to one of the UK’s largest seal colonies as they bathe on the beach in huge numbers! For those lucky enough to be staying between late November and February you’ll likely even get the chance to see some of the baby pups who have recently been born. During these winter months the beach is cordoned off, however you can still get a terrific view from the dunes and designated viewing platforms.

For those happy to travel by car, there are plenty of other attractions to visit just a short drive away including the sandy beach of Sea Palling, BeWILDerwood and the town known as ‘capital of The Norfolk Broads’ Wroxham!

A little further away, Norwich and Cromer can both be reached in 40-50 minutes and offer a further host of restaurants, cafes, and shops!
