Location

Experience the charm of Winterton-on-Sea, a small and unspoiled former fishing village, where nature and tranquillity reign. This coastal haven is renowned for its fabulous dog-friendly beach, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful escape. Unlike crowded tourist spots, Winterton's beach is all about the pristine sands, sparkling sea, and natural beauty – no arcades or bustling amusements to distract from the serenity.

Just a 7-minute stroll from the property, you'll find this captivating beach, which is shared with some amazing wildlife, notably, the grey and common Seals! Winter is a great time to see them, when the grey seals give birth to their little, white-furred pups!

The village is also home to two delightful cafes, a welcoming pub, and the beloved local fish and chip shop. Even a small convenience store is close by for your everyday needs.

For those eager to explore further, the surrounding areas offer a plethora of stunning beaches, including Horsey, Sea Palling, and Bacton, each offering their own unique charm. If you're in the mood for a more traditional seaside experience with amusements and arcades, both Great Yarmouth and Gorleston-on-Sea are a convenient 20–30-minute drive away.

Nature enthusiasts will be enchanted by the nearby Norfolk Broads, with Hickling, Barton, Ormesby, and Filby Broads all within easy reach, each offering a diverse array of wildlife, picturesque walks, and unspoiled nature. Wroxham, often dubbed the 'capital of the Norfolk Broads,' is just half an hour away and offers the perfect starting point for renting a day boat– a truly immersive experience.

For a touch of city life, Norwich, located a mere 35-minute drive away, beckons with a rich tapestry of entertainment, dining, culture, and landmarks. This city, surrounded by the meandering river and abundant green spaces, is quickly becoming one of the UK's most desirable places to live. Whether you're shopping, exploring historic sites, or simply unwinding in a peaceful park, Norwich offers a splendid urban contrast to the natural beauty of the coast.
