Brancaster Staithe sits peacefully on the north coast of Norfolk and merges with it's nearby village of Burnham Deepdale. Once a roman town, life here centres around Brancaster Staithes once thriving, picturesque harbour, renowned for mussels and fishing vessels. With beautiful beaches for flying kites, saltmarshes for the keen hiker and a thriving fishing and sailing community, there's plenty to explore! Brancaster Staithe also hosts a vast array of locally sourced seafood pubs, restaurants and cafes too, such as the Jolly Sailors, The White Horse and the Deepdale Café and Crab Hut. Don't forget to take time to explore Dalegate Market, the perfect destination to shop for gifts, trinkets and tasty treats, as well as taking in some local artwork. A short drive from the cottage is Brancaster beach, one of Norfolk's most glorious beaches, with miles of golden sands. Brancaster beach is also dog-friendly, so don't hesitate to bring along your furry friend's! There is a pay and display carpark by the beach, and toilets are open from 6am-6pm (tide dependant.) Within the car park, there is an ice-cream kiosk, perfect for a nice, cool treat on a hot summers day at the seaside!

Brancaster Staithe and Burnham Deepdale sit halfway between Hunstanton and Wells-Next-The-Sea, two of Norfolk's most popular family seaside destinations! Be sure to take a few coins along to the seafront fairground of Hunstanton, a thrill-seekers delight! With endless fairground rides and stalls, as well as the Sea Life Centre, children are sure to occupied with endless fun! Wells-Next-The-Sea is also a quaint seaside town, host to a glorious selection of pubs, restaurants as well as boutique shops and of course, miles upon miles of sandy beaches.

If you're up for exploring further afield or even in need of some retail therapy, Kings Lynn is approximately 40 minutes drive from the cottage. This historic port town is full to the brim with history and was once one of England's most important ports. To this day, there is still plenty of evidence to show it's 12th century maritime features, with a range of cobbled lanes and old merchants houses reflecting the town's fascinating past. There is an endless amount to be explored, from Kings Lynn Minster, to the River Great Ouse, as well as various pubs, quirky restaurants and of course, the recently redeveloped Vancouver Shopping Centre. Guests can also find supermarkets, bowling, escape rooms, a cinema and a theatre.
