Despite it’s size, the village of East Runton boasts two pubs, a convenience store and a Greek restaurant! When the tide is out, vast stretches of sandy beach are revealed along with many rock pools to explore.
East Runton beach is accessible from the cliff top pay and display car park where you will also find public toilets and Glide Surf School. A concrete slope leads down the beach. The beach is lined with sandstone cliffs and is a popular spot for fossil hunters and geologists. In 1990 the fossilised remains of a wooly mammoth were found a little further along the coast in West Runton!
There are RNLI Lifeguards on the beach from July to early September.
East Runton is a small village located nearby to the popular resort of Cromer. Two pubs, a restaurant and convenience store are available. The pubs, The Fishing Boat and Sammy’s Bar and Grill are both family friendly.
